Auxilium IT is excited to introduce our newest colleague - Ivor. So let's take the time to meet him.

Meet Ivor, the newest member of the Auxilium IT team! With decades of hands-on technical experience—from Unix servers to cloud-based systems—he brings a passion for problem-solving, customer service, and continuous learning. When he’s not supporting clients, you’ll find him immersed in music, cycling, or reminiscing about his rally co-driver days. Get to know Ivor
Could you tell us a bit about your career journey so far and what led you to join Auxilium IT?
I had an early career in Civil Engineering but soon migrated into the IT sector. Originally providing Technical Support to Unix servers, Apollo and Sun workstations, and assorted hardware with Windows Operating Systems. Originally working in Local authority then for Consultants, more recently remotely supporting Global clients and their Cloud-based systems.
What Attracted You to The Role?
I’ve always been ‘hands-on’ and enjoy fixing and repairing ‘stuff’ both at work and at home. This role at Auxilium, suits my skillset, whilst introducing some new technologies and functions, giving ongoing job satisfaction, not simply a ‘business as usual’ role. I had also heard favourable comments about the guys at Auxilium and their customer focused approach, describes me perfectly.
What Are You Most Looking Forward To Working On at Auxilium?
As a Client-Focused IT professional, with many years of experience, I aim to enhance Auxilium’s existing reputation for customer support and technical excellence. Very much looking forward to meeting and supporting the numerous Auxilium clients.
What's Something Fun or Interesting About You?
I’m a music obsessive, across most genres and a recent House music festival visit in Brighton, resulted in a ‘viral’ Instagram post, with 270,000 views and counting! How Do You Like To Spend Your Free Time? I’m a follower of most motorsports, including MotoGP, WRC and F1.
I have been a Rally Co-driver in National and Club events, in Land Rover Discovery, BMW Mini and a Mk2 RS2000. I have survived unscathed, despite crashing down a steep Welsh forest stage – some great memories from those rally events. I’m always listening to a diverse range of music and like walking and cycling when I can, on road/mountain and foldup bikes !
I also enjoyed cycling on the Olympic Velodrome in a few years back.
What Are You Most Excited About?
I’m looking forward to learning more ‘new to me’ technologies, and becoming more familiar with the varied client base. With many years in the Technical Support sector, I’m hoping my skills and experiences will be appreciated by Auxilium and the clients alike. I would love to get involved with some project work, as time permits
