Installation, configuration and migration of a new Hospice IT server system
St Raphael’s Hospice is a charity that cares for people in Merton and Sutton living with a life-limiting illness and their families. We offer home-based and in-patient care, well-being services and bereavement support to over 1,000 patients and those close to them benefit from our exceptional hospice care every year.
As Director of IT & Estates, I am responsible for the day-to-day running of the IT Department and Facilities Department, ensuring the smooth running of all Hospice activities.
Auxillium was brought in at short notice to assist with the installation, configuration and migration of a new Hospice IT server system when the Hospice separated from a private Hospital in 2014. The system is based on a Citrix and VM server platform incorporating approximately 30 VM servers and 200 client computers. Since the initial system installation, Auxilium have continued to provide on-going support for system operation including periodic updates.
Auxilium staff have always been courteous and helpful and have worked alongside Hospice staff in a harmonious manner. Their assistance and expertise with various projects over several years has been greatly appreciated.
The in-depth knowledge of Citrix and other system software by Auxilium staff, and their willingness to assist in resolving issues, has been of great benefit to the Hospice over many years and we look forward to our partnership growing in the future.
